There are areas of the world where the music scene is ripe with a tremendous amount of unheard talent. It reaches well beyond merely London, New York, Nashville, or Los Angeles. You've seen these areas emerge over the years, ending up creating wholly new music cultures, unique "sounds": Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, Memphis, New Orleans, San Francisco and Seattle from the last half-century, to name a few.
People in the know will tell you there's been a similar momentum building in the Baltimore and Washington DC areas. The Real Time Radio Network brings you independent original music from the world, with feature programming that appeals to musicians and music-lovers alike. It has as its main focus bringing a whole range of new artists from the mid-Atlantic region of the USA to world internet radio audiences.
Begun in 2013 in an effort to expose this music to a broader audience, it is rapidly garnering listeners all over the planet. The flagship program on the Real Time Radio Network is its Tuesday Night Live Internet Radio Call-In show, airing Tuesdays from 8pm to 10pm eastern time.
Join us 24x7.
Conceived in early 2013, it started out as an attempt to present an audible outlet for working and indie musicians. We started doing a one hour Blogtalk radio show weeknights at 8pm, featuring interviews with regional musical artists and offering other show topics.
In June we cut back to one day a week, on Tuesday nights, but began running our 24x7 stream (much higher quality).
Our passion is music, and the promotion thereof.
In August 2014, Lee Townsend and producer/cohost Bev Bonadio felt that they were not serving the artists with a poor quality stream and departed from Blogtalk. It is in essence the equivalent difference between AM and FM stereo radio.
They went for quality in favor of quantity and continue to offer the Real Time Music Network radio program on most Tuesday nights at 8pm eastern. Check our broadcast schedule for the next show.
Also available are all of the archived episodes from the Real Time Music Network's talk show for free download. Collect them, trade them with your friends.
Real Time Radio also features other interesting if not unusual programming, in addition to great non-stop indie music.
But that's not all we do. We know from decades of experience that musicians prefer to make music and not promote themselves.
That's where we come in. In addition to our broadcast duties, we are available to assist with promoting up and coming artists, in all areas of the business...we do the business so you can do what you do best, make the music. Through our vast network we can help you to bring product to the streets, get you playing live and promote your music.
